Summer School
Summer school registration is now open! The DCSD will offer courses this summer through FLEX Academy for students needing to recover credit (FLEX RESTORE).  Students may earn up to a maximum of 2.0 Carnegie credits/units during summer school. 
FLEX Restore Classes provide students an opportunity to recover credit over the summer in a class that they have previously attempted and failed.  Students who do not successfully complete these courses or fail to login daily will be dropped from the course. Please read the information below, review the agreement, and return to the counseling office ASAP to register. Parents be sure to include your email address on the Student Parent Agreement so that we may forward you a copy of the registration confirmation along with payment information. The deadline to register is Friday, May 31, 2019. 
GA Virtual School is another appoved summer school option. Please visit their website for more information including registration costs, deadlines, courses offered, etc. 
Free Summer School Program

Free Summer School Program at CCHS will take place from 5/28- 6/27 from 8:00 am- 4:30 pm (two weeks for each course up to two courses) for students who failed Coordinate Algebra, Geometry, Biology, 9th Grade Physics, 9th Grade Literature, American Literature, World History, or US History either last semester and/or this semester. Transportation, Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Orientation for students and parents will be on 5/28 from 8:00- 8:30 am.

Dual Enrollment Deadline

Students interested in participating in dual enrollment for the 19-20 school year, must have all documentation submitted to their CCHS counselor by April 15, 2019. April 15, 2019 is the deadline for students to sign up for dual enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year.  Please keep in mind that some colleges do require the SAT/ACT for dual enrollment so students should register for either the March SAT or Feb ACT as soon as possible to ensure they have scores to submit with their dual enrollment application. More information will be forthcoming soon regarding Dual Enrollment Night.  To learn more about dual enrollment, please visit  GA Dept. of Ed.
